Takeda Announces Renewed Commitment to Global Fund’s Eighth Replenishment

FGFJ welcomes Takeda Pharmaceutical’s renewed partnership with The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in announcing the first corporate pledge to the Global Fund’s Eighth Replenishment. The new pledge, consisting of ¥350 million over two years, builds on the company’s previous contribution to the Global Fund, making it the longest standing supporter since 2010.

Takeda, a leading global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Japan, has been recognized for its 15 years of unwavering support to prevent and control infectious diseases in Africa with a Leadership Award presented by FGFJ in March this year. We are proud to see that they remain committed to further advancing health care delivery for mothers and children by integrating quality HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria services into antenatal and postnatal care in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Takeda’s sustained efforts in improving maternal and child health programs, capacity building of healthcare personnel, and support for building resilient health systems are sincerely appreciated and celebrated.
